Old Photos

I realize that, because of the blog postings, the Widgeon on the background picture is not fully viewable. Below is the picture unobstructed. Daryl was surfing the internet for the registration of the Widgeon we're getting and found a couple photos. Both photos are below. They look really old! Of course, it looks nothing like this today. I'll work on getting some photos on here of it in its current state.

The Background Picture

Being that it is only day two of having this blog I am continuing to edit the design. The biggest noticeable difference is, in my opinion, the background picture. Previously I had a photo from the stock in Blogger. Now we have a nice photo of an old Widgeon. However, this isn't just any ol' Widgeon. This, ladies and gents, is OUR Widgeon. Yes, this is an old photo of the actual airplane we will soon have in our posession. Daryl did some searching around the internet and found this photo along with another one. Isn't that the neatest!? Of course, it no longer looks like this as it is in many different pieces and missing key parts, i.e. engine and props. Anyways, I think this adds a special personal touch to this blog.

The Beginning

Our adventure has begun! Today we put down a deposit on our airplane. OUR airplane! It feels so neat to say such a thing. Could it really be happening? According to our bank account it is. This is the first step of many and it feels great to get started on this venture. Our next step in mind? To drive down to Washington and have a look at our airplane, which, by the way, is in pieces. The person from whom we are purchasing our aircraft has a completed Widgeon so it will be nice to have a look at that one and see what our dream will someday look like.
